Tech After Five Networking
Through out the year we meet at a different locations for our Tech After Five events to shake hands, rub elbows and get to know your fellow members. Sorry, this one may cost a little. We’ll feed you with great food and drink. We try to spread out the location of the event as to serve our entire membership and even hold them at some of our member’s offices.
Evening Networking Events are a great opportunity for our members to sponsor a CTC event on a smaller scale and still receive a lot of recognition.
In the fall we co-host “Bridging the Patapsco” with the Howard Tech Council allowing members from both organizations to mix and mingle.
Twice a month, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with your peers on a small group basis. You can share problems, solutions, opportunities with people you know. Please contact the Tech Council office to learn more! Business Roundtable meets on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month at Bob Evans in Westminster.
We also offer roundtable meetings for affinity groups like:
“Women in Tech”
“CTC’s CIO’s” (by invitation only)
Every Spring we hold our Annual Golf Tournament. There is no doubt that this is the most laid back tournament in the county. We have various levels of golfers ranging from expert to horrible and just plain non-golfers…But it’s FUN! It’s a great way to give back to the Council and to support our programs.
During the hot days of summer, the Tech Council rolls up its sleeves and cooks up a storm in front of the grill at our annual cookout. Guests enjoy ribs, chicken, sausages and dogs. And of course, don’t forget the beer and entertainment.
And finally, at the end of the year, the Tech Council holds its Holiday Party. It’s relaxed and home grown event. Members help by contributing tasty dishes and treats and their favorite holiday recipes. It is just what the doctor ordered after a long year of fixing hard drives and laying cable. Everybody comes, even if it’s for just an hour. It doesn’t cost a dime and it’s just a great time.
In the Fall of every year, we hold out Technically Speaking Gala – A formal event where we address the “State of the Tech Council.” We invite dignitaries, speakers and families to come see who received the “Techie” and “Tech Company of the Year” awards. We also honor a local business that supports technology in Carroll County community.
